I entered the financial services industry after graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University. I began my career with TD Bank before joining Assante Wealth Management in 2004. After several years with Assante’s National Accounts office, I moved to The McClelland Financial Group in Thornhill.
Over the years, I have earned several industry designations, including the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), regarded as the highest honour and most senior credential in Canadian financial services. I am also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional, the international standard by which financial planners are measured. The CFP designation is administered by the Financial Planning Standards Council, the foremost authority for the financial planning profession in Canada.
I have been actively involved in peer-counselling groups focused on promoting health awareness on university campuses. I have always loved organized basketball and enjoy a wide range of sports. My passion for competition also carries over into my charitable work, where I have participated in numerous runs, basketball tournaments, and a triathlon in support of various charitable organizations. I live in Stouffville with my wife and three children.
